The West Point Clay County Animal Shelter strives to provide a comfortable, healthy and joy-filled environment for our shelter animals. What was once the Bryan Foods meat processing facility, is now saving lives and giving second chances to the lost, abandoned, and neglected dogs and cats of our community and beyond. 

Our animals mental health is a top priority because shelters can be a stressful environment. Every dog goes out in playgroups every day, and the cats are in big open cat houses with access to indoor and outdoor spaces. Our shelter is a happy shelter! You can feel the good energy here and always leave our shelter feeling better than when you arrived. It's an incredibly special place and it is felt by everyone who visits us!
